Mogao Caves:

When you walk into the 15.5 miles of the Mogao caves, which is at Dunhuang (south east), be prepared to be immersed in splendor. Most call this region an oasis which is located at the cross roads (Silk Road). Lovers of ancient Buddhist tradition would love this place, since it has the best and the finest carvings of the Buddha. It is said that in 366 AD is when the art and scriptures were stored here, the shrines were built then. In addition to that, the region has two famous grottoes, Longmen and Yungang.

Leshan Giant Buddha:

Leshan is home to the gigantic Buddha, a statue which has been carved out on the cliff of Sichuan, based in west China. Historians say that the carving began when the Tang dynasty was in power, somewhere around 713 AD, and it was only by the end of 803 AD when the carving was completed in full. The giant Buddha stands around 233 feet high and has resting hands which are 11 feet long!!

From the harbor, you would find a long line of skyscrapers along with the majestic view of the Tsim Sha Tsui shoreline. Right from the 5th century, the wall was built and re-built and up to the 16th century, it was known to be a protector of the northern borders of the empire. Historians credit the Ming Dynasty for the many walls it built, and it is said that the great wall can be seen from outer space too.
